Our Local Club

Rotarians support their local communities through service. They live and work by their international motto: “Service Above Self.”

The Downtown Fuquay-Varina Rotary Club is an active group of business and professional people who support each other's vocations and promote ethical behavior in their business and professional lives while performing active service in their local community.  There are 46 active clubs in our district with close to 2,000 Rotarians.

Our club has 20 active members and is growing.  Our current service projects include: "Take A Kid to the Ballgame," Meals on Wheels,"Read-a-Book, Get-a-Book," installing and maintaining Little Free Libraries, advising the FVHS Interact Club, and more.  Our main fundraisers are: our Second Change Prom held in August and  our Giant Indoor Garage Sale held in the spring.

Our club meets on Wednesday mornings from 7:30-8:30 am at 405 N Broad Street in Fuquay-Varina to make it easy for busy people to participate.  We do not have a sit-down meal so we can keep our dues low.  Snacks are donated by members voluntarily. This way, more people can afford to take advantage of Rotary and help our community!

The annual dues are $250.  This amount covers local, district and international dues, a Rotary Foundation donation (tax deductible), and a monthly copy of The Rotarian magazine.
